Lighting up the Minster
Thank you to Kelly Lindley for sponsoring the floodlights on Tuesday 11th August the day of her father, Ray Brookshaw’s funeral. Kelly message is “Today we say goodbye to Ray Brookshaw, a much loved husband, dad, grandad, and great-granddad. Ray proudly served as a Doncaster police officer for 25 years and a was familiar face at services in the church. Rest in peace, Ray”.
At a time of increasing uncertainty, the cost of electricity has increased for everyone and, to help reduce the Minster’s bill, we are asking for support to showcase the building’s magnificence under floodlights.
If you would like to support, the cost to light the Minster is £25 for one night or £150 for a week. You could do this in memory of a loved one, to celebrate a special occasion or to maintain the building under floodlights so it can be seen illuminating the night sky. This can be acknowledged in the weekly service sheet, website and social media should you wish.
Please collect a form from the Nave crossing and help offset the cost of the floodlighting.
